My Story
I basically grew up in the kitchen — not because anyone made me, but because that’s where the magic happened. My mom’s Sunday roasts and my grandma’s pies could fix almost anything (including my teenage mood swings). Back then, I thought “cooking” meant hours of stirring and fancy ingredients.
Fast forward to adult life — jobs, laundry, errands that never end — and I realized if I wanted to keep the joy of cooking alive, I needed to make it simpler. So I started playing with quick recipes that still tasted amazing, and honestly, that’s where I found my groove.

The Turning Point
One Friday night, I had friends coming over and zero energy to cook anything complicated. So I tossed together pasta with garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs — nothing fancy. And you know what? Everyone loved it. Like, scraping-the-bowl-clean loved it.
That’s when I had my lightbulb moment: it’s not about impressing people with the fanciest dish, it’s about making food that makes people feel at home.
What I Learned the Hard Way
In my early “wannabe chef” phase, I thought a recipe wasn’t worth making unless it took three hours and used at least one ingredient I couldn’t pronounce. I’d end up stressed, sweaty, and with a kitchen that looked like a crime scene.
Turns out, nobody cares how long you slaved away. They just want good food, a comfy chair, and maybe a refill on the wine.
My Approach Now
I’m all about easy, cozy, and a little bit creative. Seasonal veggies, pantry staples, and small twists that make a dish feel special — that’s my sweet spot. Cooking should be fun, not something you dread at 5 p.m.
What I Believe
- Food is basically edible love.
- Simple doesn’t mean boring.
- If you’re stressed while cooking, you’re doing it wrong.
- Good meals make great memories.
- Inspiration can come from a farmers’ market… or TikTok.
